Ensuro is a Bermuda-domiciled, blockchain-based (re)insurer licensed by the Bermuda Monetary Authority (IIGB and Digital Asset Business Class F). It sources solvency capital from DeFi liquidity providers through transparent smart contracts to underwrite real-world parametric insurance risks. The Senior eToken is a rebasing ERC-20 pegged 1:1 to USDC that represents senior-tranche capital. In the risk waterfall, pure premiums (the expected-loss portion) sit first, followed by the Junior eToken pool; Senior capital is a true third-loss layer and only suffers losses if claims fully exhaust both pure premiums and Junior capital. Since 2022 the protocol has generated over $500,000 in returns for liquidity providers with zero losses at the Senior pool level. Capital is locked as Solvency Capital Requirement (target utilization ~90%) and earns a continuous Cost of Capital plus yield from conservative on-chain asset management strategies.
